Crabble Corn Mill Folk Night Friday 27th April 2007

It is amazing how quickly these supper evenings come round. A little known fact, this will be our 21st visit to this club, and I can say that we have enjoyed each and every one of these evenings, and I’m sure that this months will be no exception. John and Keith will be filling the top spot, no licence troubles here boys!!

Advanced warning for next month. Folk night at the Mill will be one week earlier than usual on Friday 18th May. It will be organised by dear old Mc Bill, and I understand that the very talented Maureen will be filling the top spot with some of her new material, which could well be quite medical if not a bit gynaecological.
This change of schedule is a result of the Crabble Beer Festival over the weekend 25-26-27. But fear not, the Ramblin’ Boys will be there on Saturday 26th May, in the afternoon providing the entertainment, and maybe having a beer or two. More details to follow

Lots of good people enjoying a good time. They say a picture can say a thousand words, so just for a change have a look at all these words.

Thursday 5th April - Folk at The Drum - Stanford

Late entry, The Ramblin'Boys will be appearing this Thursday at “Folk at the Drum” in Stanford. Look forward to seeing you all there.

What a good night we had last Friday was at Crabble Corn Mill in Dover, with Ravenhill finishing the night off with some fine rousing chorus songs

There were so many other good acts there too. Good to see Dave Ferra there doing his stuff. He is so very good at playing the blues. That’s how I always wanted to play the guitar; only thing I lack is the talent and the fingers, the only nine things I lack……………….

It was also good to see so many people making a welcome come back after a while.
There was Terry with Mark that adding to the double acts in attendance.
The very talented Sue Watson with Bernard Quenby were there and they made some very nice music.
Also nice to see Jings with one of their McRare appearances at the Mill.
Another double act not seen for while, Adam and Theresa, who helped us save a whale.

Then all the solo acts, good old Fred, not so good old Bill, Paul Chevalier from Deal and not forgetting Dave Pleasents, who once again ran a great night.

Lets see I think that was all, I may well have left someone out, if so I am very sorry and I’ll correct this report as I know.
Last word to Ravenhill, good show guys the three of you did well and nice to see the banjo adding to the overall sound, I always said that there was nothing good ever came out of a banjo..

See you soon
